Public lighting and its management are traditionally static and reactive. Defects are not remedied until they are visually detected and manually reported. Lights burn at full intensity, even when there is no traffic on the road. In addition, light pollution within urban areas is increasingly affecting the livability and health of nearby residents.

Energy efficient LED luminaries
Public lighting can be responsible for up to 1% of a nation’s total energy consumption, and may be the single biggest contributor to the energy bill for local governments. As part of the Paris Climate Agreement, nations agreed to dramatically reduce their energy consumption. One of the most obvious measures is to replace conventional public lighting with energy efficient LED technology, consuming up to 50% less power while providing the same light output. Dynniq facilitates city-wide renovations, completely upgrading all of the public lighting assets. With a lifetime five times that of traditional lamps, installing LED lights means that maintenance activities are not necessary for a period of around two decades. Operational costs are dramatically reduced as a result.

As part of the smart lighting solution, our customers are provided with user-friendly, online lighting management portals. These provide full insight into the status of public lighting assets and full control over brightness. The devices that can be managed by the management portal are linked by a wide variety of data connectivity technologies, varying from local gateway networks to a point-to-point NB-IoT or 2G network.
Smart City integration
On request, our ImFlow Suite enables clients to integrate our Smart City solution with either a Smart City platform or work-order system used by their public lighting maintenance supplier. Using APIs, we can transfer data, commands and statuses to and from different systems. The result is maximum flexibility and process automation, reducing operational costs and improving the quality of service.
